Yolkie — Egg Boiling Timer

This Privacy Policy describes how Apprang (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the Yolkie mobile application (the “App”), package name com.apprang.yolkie.

Yolkie is a simple egg-boiling timer. We designed it to work with minimal data collection and without user accounts.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect, sell, or rent your personal information. The App does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide your name, email address, phone number, or location.

The App may store the following information locally on your device only:

• Your selected egg size and doneness preset
• Timer duration and countdown state while the App is in use
• Notification and alarm permissions you grant to the operating system

This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. Uninstalling the App removes this local data.

2. Permissions

To provide timer alerts, the App may request:

• Notifications — to alert you when boiling is complete
• Exact alarms / schedule exact alarms — to deliver timely timer alerts, including when the App is in the background
• Vibration — optional haptic feedback when the timer finishes
• Boot completed — to restore scheduled notifications after device restart (where supported by the OS)

You can deny or revoke these permissions in your device settings. Some features, especially reliable background timer alerts, may not work without them.

3. Third-Party Services

The App may download fonts from Google Fonts (via the google_fonts package) to display text. When fonts are fetched, Google may receive standard technical information such as your IP address and device/browser details. We do not control Google’s data practices.

The App does not include advertising networks, analytics SDKs, crash-reporting services, or social media integrations in its current version.

4. Children’s Privacy

Yolkie is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we do not collect personal information through the App, no special parental consent process is required for use of the App itself.

5. Data Security

Because timer settings and preferences are processed on your device and are not stored on our servers, the security of your information depends largely on the security of your device. We recommend keeping your device software up to date and using a screen lock.

6. International Users

The App is provided globally. If font files are downloaded from Google, that transfer may involve servers located outside your country. No other personal data is intentionally transferred by us.

7. Your Choices

• Deny or revoke app permissions in device settings
• Stop notifications by disabling them for Yolkie in system settings
• Delete all App data by uninstalling Yolkie

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
